Your trip in Mishima,
Starting here

Discover the charms of Mishima

Once a post town on the old Tokaido road, Mishima is home to the historic Mishima Taisha Shrine—beloved by locals and tied to samurai legend. With Mt. Fuji nearby, the city is blessed with crystal-clear streams that flow through its streets.

From hidden eateries to peaceful spots and vibrant community events, Mishima is full of treasures you won’t find on a map.

We invite you to explore and enjoy the best this unique city has to offer.

お部屋について

A small guest house where you can feel the town’s history

A sushi restaurant that had been closed for over 10 years, has found new life as a newly renovated guesthouse with 4 private rooms.

Each room has a distinct design that provides a different experience.

What was once a sushi counter, is now the lounge you can spend time relaxing in.

As all four rooms are unique, you can choose the one that best suits your needs. The largest room accommodates up to 3 guests.

Spending time at giwa

We plan to host events in the main lounge that allow you to connect with other guests and locals. Much of the tableware used at giwa is traditional tableware, once used at the former sushi restaurant.

Surrounding giwa is a variety of local markets and stores providing fresh vegetables harvested in Mishima, stocks of various seafood, and croquettes alongside other delicacies. All of this provides the feeling that you are more than a traveler – a resident of this small town in Japan.

Sitting at the counter on the second floor, you can forget about time, enjoy reading a book you may have, or even just admire the view from the window while drinking some tea. It provides a wonderful way to pass time without any of it being wasted.

1-hour Bar

There is only 1 hour (9 p.m. to 10 p.m.) during which the bar is open.

The briefness brings guests to the bar at the same time,

and as an hour flies by in a flash, fun and engaging conversation quickly develop.

We hope you can make it in time to have a great time!

Breakfast, the Local Way.

At guest house giwa, your morning begins with a stroll into town. We offer breakfast vouchers for specially curated menus at beloved local spots—whether you're in the mood for something hearty, light, or sweet. Instead of eating in, step outside, meet the morning, and savor the flavors and atmosphere that make Mishima unique.
