Your trip in Mishima,
Starting here

Discover the charms of Mishima

Mishima, with its Mishima Taisha Shrine resting in the heart of the city, was a post town on the historical Tokaido road. The Mishima Taisha shrine itself is rich with history, believed to be built over 800 years ago, and remembered in connection to Minamoto no Yoritomo, one of the samurai who would pave the path to the age of the samurai. The shrine continues to be cherished by both locals and visitors. As Mt. Fuji is nearby, Mishima has access to, not only the divine view of the mountain, but also the streams that flow down from the mountain. You can always feel the presence of the crystal clear water flowing around you and throughout the city.

From the small restaurants serving local cuisine, to the quiet and serene spots with the ability to uplift anyone, to the fun events bringing local communities together, Mishima is a city with many charming aspects – many of which cannot be found on Google.

Our goal is to create a place where you can enjoy the best elements of this city.

お部屋について

A small guest house where you can feel the town’s history

A sushi restaurant that had been closed for over 10 years, has found new life as a newly renovated guesthouse with 4 private rooms.

Each room has a distinct design that provides a different experience.

What was once a sushi counter, is now the lounge you can spend time relaxing in.

As all four rooms are unique, you can choose the one that best suits your needs. The largest room accommodates up to 3 guests.

Spending time at giwa

We plan to host events in the main lounge that allow you to connect with other guests and locals. Much of the tableware used at Giwa is traditional tableware, once used at the former sushi restaurant.

Surrounding giwa is a variety of local markets and stores providing fresh vegetables harvested in Mishima, stocks of various seafood, and croquettes alongside other delicacies. All of this provides the feeling that you are more than a traveler – a resident of this small town in Japan.

Sitting at the counter on the second floor, you can forget about time, enjoy reading a book you may have, or even just admire the view from the window while drinking some tea. It provides a wonderful way to pass time without any of it being wasted.

1-hour Bar

There is only 1 hour (9 p.m. to 10 p.m.) during which the bar is open.

The briefness brings guests to the bar at the same time,

and as an hour flies by in a flash, fun and engaging conversation quickly develop.

We hope you can make it in time to have a great time!

Mishima speciality breakfast

In this city, there are countless delicious restaurants – some newly opened,

some with long histories – both loved by everyone.

As you don’t have the time to visit every restaurant in the city, our breakfast provides you the opportunity to try side dishes from local restaurants we recommend.

Have a favorite dish? Visit the restaurant!!
